Kayla wants you to know that she is an award winning illustrator and also very humble. She works in both digital and traditional mediums, but loves traditional most—especially the nib pen for its unpredictable wobbliness and scritchy lines. Her stories and illustrations aim to bridge the classic and the modern, with a twist of dry humor and "fun facts". She loves organizing data, finding patterns, and "big picture" planning. If she weren't an illustrator she'd be a scientist. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband and two cats.
